Job Description

Location – South Okkalapa The Job • This person is responsible and accountable for ensuring the maximum uptime, safety, and efficiency of production machinery and utility equipment within a food manufacturing facility. This role involves proactive maintenance, prompt troubleshooting of breakdowns, and adherence to food safety standards (GMP/HACCP). • This person will lead the junior fellows and report to the maintenance manager/general manager. Key Responsibilities • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production machines, packaging lines, and utility equipment • Diagnose faults, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems promptly to minimize downtime • Diagnose and repair PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems and electronic components • Plan and schedule regular servicing and maintenance tasks, update daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists and reports. • Ensure compliance with safety and food hygiene standards during all maintenance work • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized equipment repairs or parts replacement • Ensure all maintenance work complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards • Ensure food safety by cleaning up after repairs, removing tools, and ensuring no contamination occurs in production areas • Document machine history, repairs, and root cause analysis in the maintenance management system • Assist in maintaining inventory of critical spare parts and highlight necessary spare parts requirements to the supervisor in advance. • Assist in the installation of new machinery and electrical infrastructure • Strictly to follow 5S standards, GMP and to maintain housekeeping at line and workshop • To perform any other additional tasks as and when requested by the Executive or Manager

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Automation • Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food/beverage or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and diagrams • Strong troubleshooting skills in motors, drives, panels, and sensors • Knowledge of PLC systems is a plus • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills • Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays • Ability to work under pressure and good team player with strong communication skills • Knowledge of food safety regulatory requirements such as GMP and HACCP standards
