The Job
• This factory manager will oversee daily operations, manage production schedules, ensure food safety and quality compliance and lead staff to achieve targets for a food manufacturing company.
• This person will lead the junior fellows and report to the general manager.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing plant
• Develop, implement and maintain production schedules and processes to ensure optimum productivity and efficiency
• Hire, train and manage production staff, including setting and monitoring performance goals
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and implement product launches
• Create and maintain inventory records and manage raw material inventory levels
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and industry standards, including HACCP and GMP
• Control the factory budget and minimize production costs
• Identify and address production issues and area(s) for improvement
• Monitor and maintain equipment and machinery in production facilities
• Prepare production reports and communicate with upper management regarding production goals and results
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in food science, business, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in food production management
• Extensive knowledge of HACCP, GMP and other food safety regulations
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software
