
Job Description
• Enforce Group’s safety policies, Procedures, Safe System of Works, inspections and actions plan to ensure the compliance of them
• Lead risk assessment process and advise implementation of efficient control measures;
• Enforce guidelines for subcontractor’s health and safety requirements and compliance throughout the lifecycle of the projects;
• Monitor compliance of health and safety plans, analysis trends and provide reports to Head of HSSE Unit;
• Ensure emergency preparedness is adequate by verifying emergency procedures and doing drill exercises;
• Assist with incident investigations, to identify root causes, to make recommendations to avoid recurrence;
• Recommend solutions to health and safety related issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures;
• Support Head of HSSE Unit on all aspects of health and safety;
• Support applicable internal and external health and safety audits and inspections;
• Maintain sustainable collaboration with Health and Safety Manager (training and planning);
• Perform other duties as assigned by Head of HSSE Unit.
Requirements
• University Degree;
• Diploma or Certificate holder in safety management, occupational health or any other related field;
• A minimum of 7 years proven experience in Health and Safety field, experience in corporate safety role is preferable;
• Through understanding, development and implementation of Health and Safety Management system and plans;
• Ability in producing reports, good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
• Attention to detail and outstanding observation ability;
• Competent user of Microsoft Office, Internet and e-mail;
• Good command of written and spoken English and Myanmar.
