Job Description
• Coordinate multiple projects, meet deadlines, and manage environmental and social action plan projects to completion.
• Regularly monitor investee compliance with the Fund / GP’s ESG requirements and policies, including the implementation of agreed action plans and/or by attendance of ESG committees and/or boards (as required).
• Contribute to the delivery of ESG training
• Mentoring and working with more junior team members.
• Work on ad hoc projects. For instance, external communications on ESG, such as an annual ESG report and case studies highlighting ESG value addition.
• Assisting on quarterly ESG newsletter publishing
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, preferably environmental journalist, environmental or social studies; development studies / development finance; or a similar area.
• At least one year’ work experience in a related field preferably within E&S consulting, development finance or private equity / the wider investment industry.
• Experience and demonstrable commitment to our markets.
• Strong communication skills, including report writing (use of PowerPoint and diagrams to present information in a concise format)
• Effective negotiation skills, including the ability to be persuasive as well as to listen and pragmatically identify when compromise is required.
• English Language proficiency.
• Knowledge of relevant sectors and ESG issues – Required.
• Familiarity with the application of the IFC Performance Standards – Required.
