Chief Accountant

Location – South Okkalapa The Job • Chief Accountant at one of the Successful Food Manufacturing Company in Yangon • Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations • Ensure the accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with local regulations, and efficient financial operations Description • Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role • Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts operations in Manufacturing • Perform a full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts • Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls • Responsible for timely monthly financial statements, payments, cash-flow management reporting • Review & approve payment vouchers & journal entries • Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and project teams in analyzing margins, variances and cost analysis • Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the setup. • Establish and maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis and early-warning of cost-overruns • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulatory requirements • Analyse cost data to support pricing decisions and profitability analysis • Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA is preferred • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role • Relevant experience in audit and costing is advantageous • Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels • Able to work independently and highly meticulous • Working experience in SAP is highly regarded • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel • Well knowledge on Myanmar tax laws and experience on handling all company taxes independently • Strong leadership and team management abilities
