
Job Description
The Business Development Manager – F&B (Retail) is responsible for driving business growth, expanding market presence, increasing revenue, and identifying new opportunities for restaurant, café, bakery, or food retail operations. The role focuses on sales growth, outlet expansion, partnerships, and brand development.
Develop and execute business development strategies for F&B retail operations
Identify new locations for outlet expansion (shopping center, high street, commercial areas)
Conduct feasibility studies and site evaluations
Explore franchise opportunities and partnership models
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences
Develop corporate sales, catering, and bulk order opportunities
Introduce promotional campaigns in collaboration with Marketing team
Monitor sales performance and implement improvement strategies
Identify new product or service opportunities to increase revenue
Build relationships with shopping malls, landlords, suppliers, and distributors
Negotiate commercial terms, rental agreements, and partnership contracts
Work closely with Marketing to launch promotions and new product campaigns
Prepare business proposals and financial projections
Monitor outlet profitability and ROI for new projects
Support new outlet opening processes
Ensure smooth handover from development phase to operations
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field
Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in F&B retail, restaurant chain, or food business development
Strong knowledge of retail expansion, location analysis, and commercial negotiation
Good understanding of food retail market trends
Strong financial and analytical skills
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
Result-driven and able to meet expansion and revenue targets
